What Does 100% Success Look Like?

Glen Jackson, co-founder of marketing communications agency Jackson Spalding, breaks down what it takes to be successful.
“It's true 80 percent of success is showing up,” he says. “Eighty-five percent of it, in my opinion, is showing up and speaking up. Ninety percent is showing up and saying something very intelligent. And 100 percent is showing up and solving a problem.”

You can't go from 80 to 100 on that, just show up, and then speak up, "Hi." Introduce yourself, speak to somebody. That's 85 percent right there. The 90 is look for an intelligent question to ask or something to say. Then as you grow in your career, you'll be solving problems in addition to showing up. That's 100 percent from my perspective.
