“We have to manage our energy sometimes more than our time,” shares Molly. “For leaders, figuring out who are you going to invest your energy into is an incredibly important thing because we have a finite amount of time, but we have an enormous amount of energy, but we've got to decide who we want to give it to.”

And so, we have to decide who we're going to give our energy to and who are we not. As an agent, no question. I had to get really clear on what athletes to chase, what were sort of worth the chase, what were sometimes better than the problems maybe that came with it. Then you could invest in those relationships effectively and manage the expectations effectively.
We have to change the narrative that we tell ourselves. If you're going after baseball players, the narrative is this is going to be eight years before I make any money. And by the way, 50 percent of first round guys even make it to the big leagues.
So for leaders, figuring out who are you going to invest your energy into is an incredibly important thing because we have a finite amount of time, but we have an enormous amount of energy, but we've got to decide who we want to give it to.
