Barbara: Well, we've been lucky, because we born with a partner and a sister, but many of our friends are like sisters to us, too, including our colleagues. It's simple things. It's knowing that someone has your back when you're walking into a meeting with them, or knowing that someone believes in you on projects that you're working on that might seem overwhelming to you, but if someone else has your back on that, then you feel like you can get it done. And it's not something grand or enormous. It just texting a friend if they're going to walk into a presentation beforehand saying, "You got this. I know you can do it." And those little acts are what make you feel like you can do it. It builds you up, and that's what we've had through each other, in which we also have through friends and colleagues.
Jenna: It's when you have the time to give something to a friend or to a colleague, give it, do it.
These twins come from a family familiar with being in the spotlight. Even though their father and grandfather were U.S. presidents, they have been able to forge their own leadership paths.
