Adaptability

Adaptability is the ability to adjust to new conditions; it is the capacity to be modified for a new use or purpose. In the workplace, it is when an employee can be flexible and have the ability to adapt to changing work conditions or differing personalities. When you possess the skill of adaptability as a leader, you’re like water—able to bend and flow to fit the circumstances around you. 

When you are flexible in your way of thinking, you adapt to new situations, improvise and shift strategies to meet different types of challenges. Adaptable leaders are resourceful, continually curious and open-minded. They see opportunities where others might see failure. They experiment, think ahead and engage in positive talk.
